Extruding surface into solid
 
Dear All!

I am new user to Workbench of ANSYS Fluent .could you please help me in importing external CAD file(3D surface) into workbench and extrude as 3d solid for meshing.

what type of file are you importing?

ANSYS Meshing does not allow you to work with an imported mesh...

You can import a mesh and extrude with ICEM CFD (meshing), TGrid, or FE Modeler.

Which tool are you using and what mesh format are you importing?
