Hi,
(I am a French student, sorry for the language mistakes) I try to simulate a flow from a syringe into air. I have sketched a syringe, a ground, and a frozen rectangle cut (through a Boolean) between them for the air. However, I have a major problem: I don't know how to make understand to the software that I want the flow to sink into air at the end of the syringe (as a hole). I have tried a lot of things, but in the results I have either all the fluid staying in the syringe, or all the fluid staying in the air, like if there was a concrete separation between the two. On left and right sides of the interface between syringe and air I have put walls for named selections, but I don't know what to put for the end of the syringe (by the way I have 2 segments superimposed here, one from the syringe part and one from the air part). I have enclosed many pictures to clarify everything. If someone could help me, I would be very grateful Thank you! |

Hi Yoann,
If you just want to simulate the air flow leaving the syringe you should use the flow domain (cf. your 2nd picture) and use a name selection at the syringe inlet edge. Do the same for the other BC (wall / outlet / opening) with appropriate names so when importing into fluent it will already pre-assign the BC type. Have fun |

Hi,
I've fixed the problem since this post but thank you very much for your help! Yoann |
