arash.mp is on a distinguished road
hello everyone
I have a problem with ICEM! I want to create a structured mesh in a 2D-planar asymmetric bifurcation! the bifurcation has a wall thickness and structured mesh should be created in the wall too. can anyone help me with the blocking?? I tried different types of blocking by I failed in creating a good blocking.
thanks in advance.

Hi,

There are different blocking strategies that you can use for a bifurcation. Simon had put together a nice tips and tricks for ICEM back in 2010 already (that you can find on this forum here : Simon's great tools (tips, tricks+ refinement))

In your case you can go for a quick quarter o-grid approach and add a boundary layer to capture your radius at the bifurcation.

Have fun
