Effect of Symmetry BC on results

Please refer to this thread I had going in the FLUENT forum.

Basically, for an airfoil analysis (inviscid model), the presence of the symmetry BC on the two sides of the C-mesh gave bad results for the lift coefficient (40% deviation from wind tunnel data), while changing it to inlet gave good results (within 5%).

Did someone experience this before? And why did this happen?

Can you past the corresponding mesh files?

Sure. What extension should I save them as?

ICEM files, if they are created in ICEM.

Are these good?
