I would like to create the ship hull geometry paramaters automatically using ansys design modeler, but I know it is hard to use the design modeler standard tools (we know in the creating of parameters are available only for offset/moving and rotation). Also, I know that we can write the script to make a model in the design modeler, however I don't know how to write the script (especially: ways of script writing and the program language used). Please give me some recommendations

Hi!
I know it is quite a long time ago that you posted your question (approx. 1 year...) Did you find out how to write these scripts? I just found out this option under File->"write skript" and "run skript" but also I don't have any experience in the programming language jscript. Do you have any tips and tricks for me?
Thanks!

Perhaps this will help as a starting course:

This script will create the geometry specified. You may be able to reverse engineer it to learn some tricks.

However, there is not much documentation from ansys on it. I've talked with the reps.

thanks a lot! I found a half-automatical solution now, with a saved script (with the "write script" function) and I duplicate my model and overwrite the sketches so I don't have to create the areas etc. and set the mesh sizing etc. again every time. I only have to set the conections to the new sketches and delete the old ones...
But by the time, I will try that tutorial, maybe it makes me life even easier. Thanks!
