Grid type for DES simulation

Hello,

I am trying to simulate DES around a bluff body (box).
I have read that unstructured grid (tetra) is more convenient since clustering is much easier.
Also I am planning on parametrization of the model.
Can tetra grid give approximately same results as hexa grid?

Thank you!

A Grid give good results when the flow is aligned parallel to cells which is very easy to implement using hexa, secondly there are more numerical errors associated with tetra than hexa and thirdly hexa give overall small mesh size as compared to hexa using same node distribution. I don't have any experience in DES, I am just commenting based on my experience with tetra and hexa using URANS.
