Element Type
Hi all,
I am reasonable new to ANSYS Meshing. I am trying to mesh a 2D nozzle and I would like to change the element type from the default. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks for any help that anyone can offer. Tom |
Workbench??
Are you using Workbench, and are you trying to achieve a quadrilateral mesh that follows the edges of the nozzle?
If so, you need to apply mapped face meshing (located under mesh control). Then use sizing and select the opposing sides (inlet and outlet; the two converging sides) to have the same number of divisions (make sure you set the behavior to "hard" so that Workbench doesn't take liberties with the number of divisions you selected). |

Hi Diane,
Thanks for the quick reply, my nozzle is a little more complicated than a straight converging nozzle as it requires some of the geometry form the turbine. I have attached a picture of my geometry. I am wondering how to "size" the curved section (the bottom left of the nozzle). If you have any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it. Regards, Tom |
