HEXA mesh

1 Attachment(s)
hello everyone,
I wanna figure out the hexa mesh of the geometry in attach, as you can see in the blk document, I try to dig out a little cuboid in the center. But I always meet the problem of Volume Orientation who is not able to be fixed, what I do is just delete those bad nodes. Then when I export this mesh to Fluent, it mentions Aborted due to critical error, non of the signs else.
Could you please take a look at of the blk where my mistakes are, what I can do now? cause I'm quite new in using ICEM and I spent pretty much time on this
Thanks a lot

I see many surfaces and curves which I think are unnecessary. Are you sure these surfaces and curves are necessary or only the centre cuboid and outer boundaries?

I was trying to give different mesh sizes to each part, but what is necessary is only the contour with the centre cuboid

I modified the blocking and move the bottom vertices of the cuboid, then I obtained a more flat angle for the sloping part . (as attached in main post)
Now there is no Volume Orientation problem any more, but when I export this new mesh to Fluent, it rejected with the same reason "Aborted due to critical error".
I can't find where the problem might be, could you please help me?

Done........ There is some trick in the blocking.

1. Merge vertices
2.Creation of Y-block
3. Another split for the dead block
4. Conversion the two blocks outside the geometry into dead block

PS: I have deleted all unnecessary curves, points and surfaces.

Many thanks, Far
I'll read it now

please uncheck the following parts (if they are enabled):

dead, solid and VORFN

hi Far
What is the need of the dead block? have you associated some of its vertices with the geometry? and how it is separated from the geometry so that its not part of the mesh? Thanks

Regards

One picture is equal to thousand words:D and I guess one video is equal to thousand pictures;). So here is the video for queries you have just asked;)

changing the material is same as when you delete the block and it goes to VORFN, therefore it disconnects itself from remaining mesh. When you uncheck that material from parts list it is no more part of active mesh (name does not matter, you can rename dead to live or even 007;))

millions of thanks for the video and live, dead and 007 combination is itself deadly and suspicious :P
