HeatTransferFan is on a distinguished road
Hi everyone,
I am trying to model flow and heat transfer over a row of circular pins in ANSYS . I created the model and now I am trying to mesh it in ICEM. I have an enclosure with the pins in the middle, symmetry on the sides and no slip walls on the top and bottom. I also have an inlet and outlet section. I know there will be a boundary layer on the top and bottom and around each pin. The problem that I am having is that if I try to inflate the top and bottom, the prism layer around the pins disappears for some reason. Then if I remove inflation at the walls, the prism layer on the pins is there again. I am using a Tet patch conforming meshing for the fluid but I tried with MultiZone and I had the same problem. Obviously I am doing something wrong (and I believe something very stupid) but I can't figure out what. Also, does the order of the mesh control functions that you put matter? I mean, does it matter if I put body sizing before or after inflation?
Sorry but I'm in the process of learning CFD and I would really appreciate any help.

Thank you a lot for your help,
