contruction of 2D tin file from Pro_Engineer

Hi all CFD online user

I've been using ICEM by using Pro_Engineer, 3rd party drawing tool, to build 3D .tin file to load into ICEM. I want to know how to build 2D .tin file from Pro_Engineer. Geometry functions in ICEM is very difficult to use, and this is the reason why I want to use pro_Engineer.

Thank you all.

save pro-e file as parasolid, IGES or step and then import it in ICEM. When you save this file you will get the .tin

Hi Far

Thank you for your reply, I was able to generate 3D structure(STEP file) as you indicated. When I open a new file to draw 2D part, which 'type' option do I need to select such as part, drawing, and sketch? I was able to make 3D STEP file by dwaring part with 'Part' type option, but error message I faced when I tried to draw 2D geometry because 2D geometry doesn't have the thickness.

Thank you
