Dear

How can I view the internal parts in DM. In other words I want to divide the geometrical model (360 deg) into two parts at the symmetry plane as I usually do in Pro-E and then hide the one half in-order to have a clear view of the internal parts.

click tool -> freeze then go to view and check frozen body transparacy.
You can click on seperate bodies and use right button then hide them.
i can help you with the symetry too, let me know if you're having problem with it...

I figured out the problem by using the symmetry command.

The sliver face and small face is the term used in the offical ANSYS DM training presentation.

Yeah and I felt it is much more comfortable to work little in DM before taking the model into ICEM.

Though ICEM has very good geometric features but not powerful as Gambit. So I usually work in Gambit to get the required geometric shape before taking it into the ICEM, but Gambit has few problems, e.g. the version I am using has the license upto 11 Nov 2011 and I have to change the date every time I run it. Moreover in my license, IGES/step are the only option to import the model. Sometimes I have files in workbench format and sometimes in parasolid. So I thought to give a try to DM this time and see how I can get the things, I usually get in the Gambit.

I also like the space claim way of working.
