Hello all,

I want to generate a mesh around a windturbine (tower+nacelle+rotor)
I have worked with ICEM before to generate a mesh around an airfoil, cylinder,... but for this one I cannot make it
Can anyone help me with it? I have the 3D-geometry, but when I import it into ICEM, it's just lines not a 3D geometry

Thanks

which kind of 3D-geometry? step/iges or a is it a native cad file format?

it's often easier to import your geometry to desgin modeler first, then set up facet quality to 10 and export it as .agdb-file and import it in icem via workbenchreader

or do you use the 14.5 version? icem is integrated in the workbench and things are much easier

anyway....i can help you with the meshing. i've done it before (at least if you want to make a hex mesh).
