Improving angle in meshes

Hello,
I am currently working on meshing a T junction for fluid flows. After initially completing the mesh, I checked the pre mesh quality histogram and found the following values Angle: 37.26(min.) 89.46(max.) Quality: 0.606(min.) 0.993(max.) Aspect Ratio: 1(min.) 2.6(max.) 1. I am interested in knowing how to improving the angle in ICEM meshing. Is it dependent on the number of nodes on the edge of the blocking or something else? 2. Also, is there any other important parameter for checking the quality of the mesh apart from the ones mentioned above? Kindly give me your suggestions. Thank you very much in advance for your help and guidance. Last edited by selvam2487; December 16, 2012 at 08:42. Reason: Misalignment |

Hello Far,
In case the angle is bad (say, 15°), then what are the measures for improving the angle quality in a mesh? I have no idea how to correct it if things don't go the way I wanted. That is my problem. |

There are many methods to improve quality including using advance blocking, adjusting edge mesh parameters, moving vertices etc. If you have quality issues post .tin and .blk files here. We shall try to guide you in right direction...
