Need help in modeling and meshing air flow over a tree
I am very new to CFD and meshing technique. I am doing a project to simulate air flow through a tree to obtain pressure coefficient. The tree could be represented and modeled as cylinders joint together(trunk and branch). Since I am very new, I have tested with simple object like sphere. But I encountered problem in meshing a cylinder in the 3D air space. Could you please advise me on how to model and mesh a 3D grounded cylinder (like a tree) in the air space. The meshing methodology seems to be totally different and I have no idea how to start.
*I have both Gambit, and ANSYS DesignModeler and Meshing. Simulation software: Fluent. Thank you. http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/dat...AASUVORK5CYII= |
*Create your body (sphere, cylinder or whatever)
*Create the box which will represent your outer domain *Substract box with the body Now your domain is hollowed (your body is represented with a surface, and this is the only entity which is in contact with your fluid) |
