Size function in gambit

Hi,
I have a large box with 2 smaller boxes inside of it. When I am applying size function to the volume to limit the number of cell in between the two smaller boxes, what should I choose for source and attachment? What does it means? Thank you. |

are your both small boxes hollow?

In your case I would split the region of membrane-elements, and then you can deal with all your isolated elements separately. (only mesh them with hexa)
Advantage is that you won't have any problem by meshing only one volume, but with several small entities (with size function) --> it will ask lots of ram memory from gambit, and it will fail

Hi,
When i try meshing using hex and cooper, gambit gave me an error message saying that volume contain a void and thus cannot be meshed using the cooper scheme. What can i do? |

if your splits are correct, then the volumes resulting should be automatically set as cooper (or hexa).
to see how your volume looks like, go in visibility (specify display attributes), and select only your volume
