Dear all,

I am trying to mesh an airfoil in icem. Simon has uploaded an instruction on youtube showing the basic steps. I am currently using ICEM 14.5. Everything is clear and works fine. Just the final smoothing that should create orthogonality does not perform that well. I am trying to create a very fine grid in the sub-boundray layer. The smoother restricts the smoothing on the 2-3 layers next to the surface. how is it possible to force ICEM to propagate the smoothing into the volume? It works fine in case I use cells with a relatively large cell height as first layer.

Any help is highly appreciated

Kind regards

Philipp
