Hi,

I have a geometry in which a small tube is placed over a cubic box. I am trying to mesh complete geometry with hex mesh i am able to achieve good quality mesh on the box but not at the cylindrical tube. Anybody can please help me how to sort this problem out.
i have attached some pic of my geometry.help2.JPGhelp1.jpg

Hello Himanshu,

Could you attach your .tin, .blk, .prj files if possible.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply i have fixed the step which i was missing and created a hexahederal mesh. I have another question that i want this hexahederal mesh to be
imported into OpenFoam. OpenFoam has given following convertors:

ansysToFoam

cfx4ToFoam

datToFoam

and other can be seen on this link please have a look at it

http://www.openfoam.com/features/mesh-conversion.php

Presently what i have done is i have converted my mesh in "fluent.msh" file and this write the file into unstructured mesh since fluent is unstructured(tet) mesh solver. I am not familiar with the other meshing formates and how to save icem mesh to those formate. If you can please suggest me which formate should i use to save the file in icem so that my file satisfy the constraints of Open Foam conversion and i have structured mesh import

Thank you
