Hey,

I'm trying to generate the mesh for a NACA4412 Airfoil...
Therefore I use this tutorial https://confluence.cornell.edu/displ...Airfoil+-+Mesh
The only difference is that I use a NACA4412 geometry instead of NACA0012.
If I generate the mesh I get strange results in the upper right corner (see attached file). I tried it several times from the beginning but the result is always the same

Anybody an idea?
Thanks for any advice!

I am not an ansys meshing, but I can swear this have been discussed ealier in the forum , just use the search tool or google search using the appropriate keywords. This was discussed more than one time. all the people who followed that cornell tutorial ends up with a mesh like yours. I don't know if the tutorial is faulty... Good luck

Is this domain decomposed into individual bodies?
You may have split edges in that block. Check to see that they are all continuous.
Also, the Multizone mesher will do a better job here.

Thanks for your responses
I've used Edge sizing hard.
I've changed some things, too. Now I'm using 2 Mapped Face Meshing (1. both quarters on the left and the quarter bottom right, 2. upper right one)
and now the Mesh looks better, but still not perfect...
