HI all,

i meshed a nozzle in ICEM cfd , but the quality is not good.

what should i do?

Add at least one or two splits to your blocking.
Maybe adjust the edges of the inner O-Grid to optimize the quality.

if the elements are too squeezed, try splitting edge by spline...

thanks Far,

the problem is that my geometry is made from 4 curves.
i mean i first import curve points to Catia then i use revolve tool to make the nozzle.
could you please take a look at my geometry and tell me what should i do ???

I agree.


I just made few splits and snaped vertices and every thing is fine. By the way, are you going to make the far field?

yes.

at first step i want to mesh just the nozzle.

then i will create a cylinder around the nozzle,and will mesh the volume between the nozzle and cylinder.
