Hi all,

i meshed a geometry(Fig.1), but the mesh quality is not good.

can someone please help me?

thanks in advance.

I didn't quit understand the geometry. But this is blocking according to my perception.

there you go:

just create your block without the extended part then extrude...

thank you very much Far.

i did not understand how you make second circle in the middle of cylinder?(see the picture)

could you please tell what did you do exactly?

after he initialized the first o-grid, he created a second one with a offset of 0.2 . then a second one with an offset of 1...

i guess he also added curve in the outer surface to better associate. with the project curve to surface tool

Ali, you have made it easy to understand the extrude and rotate in blocking and edit mesh tab.

Yes

Yes. For both I used default settings (offset = 1). Then made the association and snaped vertices. After that I used vertex command to align other parallel vertices. Then made second o-grid and splited block at the center where wall is located. Also I changed the material of unwanted blocks as void (used index control to select the appropriate blocks).

thank you Ali.

as i am using icem cfd interactive mood (i mean running icem in ansys meshing using multizone), so i do not have permission to modify the geometry.beause when i meshed in icem cfd, then in returing to ansys meshing there will be errors.

but the same circle is in your files, how did you create that? you did like Far?
