Hi all,

i meshed my geometry in ICEM CFD, and it contains a cylindrical part and a nozzle part.(see the picture)

the problem is that, i want to export mesh to fluent, but these two parts have different initial velocity in fluent. so how can i put different velocity for these two parts?
i mean what should i do in ICEM CFD boundary condition?
i have attached prj&blk&tin files.

Which two parts? Anyhow, you need to define part and there should be blocking for that part (you need to split blocking to that part if you need different BC)

you right, there are not two parts, i mean the cylinder and nozzle.

so, you mean i should use create part tool by using "blocking material, create part" for each one???

I mean geometry parts. you need to create in, out, wall etc.

if you look at below picture you will understand what i mean.

now what should i do?? is it right that i should use create body in geometry tab of icem cfd?

This is one of those times when "why?" would be a great question...

You should probably not be setting two velocities.

You should set the inlet velocity and the velocity in the nozzle will be calculated...

If you are just trying to speed things up and initialize with closer to final velocities, then you should be using the new hybrid initialization in Fluent... It basically generates a coarse background grid and then does a rough solve to work out initial velocities through the volume. These initial velocities are applied to the real solution as a great starting point.
