Unable to create inflation layer (with picture)

I would like to inflate a simple rectangular tube profile (30x15mm). I played around with all the inflation settings, but nothing works.

If the options "show program controlled inflation surfaces" is selected, no geometry is highlighted. So obviously this geometry cannot be inflated. But why?

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

PS: If somebody could tell me how to create this "extruded 2D mesh by one element" in V13 - that would be even better!

Did you try to add an inflation to the sweep method?
You can find it either in the options of the sweep method or right-click on it and choose inflate this method.

"Inflate this method" is only available, if the source and/or target selection is set to "manual" when defining the sweep method. But then the mesh looks distorted.

But you're right. This way it works:

Yes, sweep requires you to setup the inflation (doesn't use program controlled). But Multizone might be another option. Did you give that a try?
