Meshing of a fluidized bed with a central jet

I am trying to mesh a 2D rectangular geometry of width 0.3m and height 1m equipped with a central jet of width 0.015m using GAMBIT with uniform quadrilateral mesh 5mm in both horizontal and vertical direction. See the figure attached. I manage to mesh the edges successfully but when I try to mesh the face I receive an error message saying "number of meshed edges of face does not allow using a scheme of map."

I don't see any picture.
Anyway, the message you got, explains you that you are trying to mesh a face with quads which opposite edges don't have same interval count

mAx the geometry has same number of intervals on opposite edges as I am using 5mm interval in both X and Y direction. Here is the geometry from GAMBITAttachment 21316.

delete all upper edges mesh (only the top of your rectangle will be free from mesh), and let Gambit mesh them automatically.

If it does not work, mesh each edge with interval count and not interval size, then check that the face has only 4 end-vertices, not less not more.
