Identical unstructued Face mesh for two separate faces

Hi,
First, I apologize for making anew thread. I couldn't find any other topics regarding to my problem.

Here is the question, is there any possible way to make identical face meshes in ICEM and then use these face meshes to make volume mesh?

I am trying to use cyclic=periodic boundary conditions in openFOAM, and there is a need to have identical face meshes on two faces which are going to be cyclic.

Maybe its easy to make it work by structured mesh, but right now for some reasons I am using unstructured meshes.

So is there any solutions?
Any suggestions is appreciated,
Thank you so much,
Mojtaba

Hi Mojtab,

this is easy in ICEM. Under the Global Mesh Parameters menu, the last icon on the DEZ is to define periodicity. You will then have to work out what the rotational offset is between your faces and enter it here.

Good Luck

Thank you stu, I will try.
I think there is something like Copy/Paste mesh in ICEM. Am I correct about that?

Yes, you can translate a copy of a surface mesh.
