How to export geometry and grids from ICEM to DesignModeler

Hi,

May I ask how to export geometry and grids from ICEM to DesignModeler?

Far May 6, 2013 17:33

why you want to export grid to design modeler?

Because I'd like to use the grids generated by ICEM to do the solid mechanics analysis by DesignModeler.

Design modeler does not read mesh files. You can export your geometry in IGES/Step/parasolid format and later them in designmodeler. If you talking about stress analysis and exporting to ANSYS FEA, that can be done

wy dont u just export the mesh to ansys?

How to do that? Ansys APDL doesn't offer the option to import grids from ICEM. (see attachement)

There is option in ICEM to export mesh for ANSYS FEA solver.

Or import via FEModeller
