[ANSYS Meshing] Weird protrusions in mesh after Octree

Hi all,
I have this weird problem in ICEM. After i created my mesh using the Octree Mesh Method, the mesh became slightly deformed. As such, I keep getting errors when i try to include prismatic layers on it. Not sure if the errors I'm getting are due to this deformation but it probably is. Is there a way around this? This is what I did.
1. Imported Geometry as an IGES.
2. Built topology ( all red lines)
3.Set mesh parameters and meshed it using the Octree algorithm.
4. deleted the volume mesh to try to fix all the holes , and deformation but to no avail. Attached is my mesh.

This is seriously causing me a lot of sleep.

apply a certain number of number in that edge... see what it does... you can also share your project ...

increase of no of nodes or decrease maximum size

looks like you are missing the edge curve defining the geometry in that area.
Get that edge in there and even without defining nodes on there it will automatically pick up the sizing from the part it is associated with.

Unless there is a thin spacing to the other side of geometry (surfaces) and then you will need to define some thin cuts in the octree settings.
