How to save ICEM CFD mesh in .msh

Hello everyone,

I am quite new to ICEM-CFD and want to ask how to save the mesh in .msh format for its use in Fluent. I would be glad if anyone could help out.

Thanks a lot!

Hello
In the Output tab click on “Select Solver” (the red icon)
Then in the Output Solver option find FLUENT_V6 and ANSYS in the Common Structural Solver option.
Now click Write Imput, save the project and the open the file with .uns as the extension.
A window will appear allowing you to create the .msh file now. Make sure you check Grid dimension and choose the appropriate option for you case.
The Output File shows the location of where your mesh file will be saved. You can change the /fluent name to whatever you want your mesh file to be called.
Click Done for your mesh file to be saved and now you can read the mesh as a .msh file in FLUENT
:)
