Need a help for merging hexa/tetra mesh..

Hello, I have an issue with merging hexa/tetra mesh..

What I'm trying to do is to merge tera mesh with hexa mesh but interface of geometry for hexa mesh is larger than that for tetra mesh.

I've been following 'Hybrid tube' in the tutorial, but it seems I don't know
how to merge them when the two interface areas are different.

I tried to match the area of interface and try to match the mesh
but it didn't work.

If I use 'merging node with tolerance', it just ruin hexa mesh nodes distribution. I only want tetra mesh to be conformed to hexa mesh..

I uploaded the simple geometry for this case on below link..

Do any of you know how to tackle this problem, please let me know..
I will really appreciate your help..

you have inter1 and inter2... you need just one inter, it should contain both the structured and unstructured. you will convert your structured mesh to unstructured (use merge instead of replace) then merge using that only inter under the edit mesh tab... let me know if this works for you... it should work

Hi Andrew & Diamondx,

I“ve read your doubt. I“m trying the whole weekend to get something similar "a priori" easier than this but I can“t. For that reason, when I read this post I tried to do this example.
Here the link with the project.

I did exactly the same geometry and I did the same approach. As diamondx told you, you need only 1 interface instead of two. Once you have the hexa mesh and tetra mesh you only need to go to Merge Nodes, Merge Meshes, Merge Surface Mesh Part and click over your interface and et voilą!

I hope this was your doubt!

Thanks a lot. it worked for the small geometry!
