Questions about Hexa Meshing

2 Attachment(s)
Hi Experts,

I have some questions about Hexa Meshing of My problem (one blade inside huge sector of 120° (three bladed turbine) , theses questions my be primitive because i'm beginner in HexaMeshing and Blocking techniques

1- Is iam meshing the huge 120 degree volume (using quarter O-grid) and improve its quality firstly then start with blade OR start with blade then the huge volume ?

2- For the attached Figure 1 , why the all volume (or surface) not meshed

3- Why the color of o-grid Blocks in my ICEM is (red) while in all tutorials are (green) .. Figure 2, is it setting adjusting or i miss some thing?

You have a problem with your associations. right button click on edges then select "show associations" so you can detect which edge is associated with which curve. your problem is more likely to happen if you have two curve and you tought of them as one

color of block does not really matter, if you right button click on parts-»good color"", it will change i think

The color of the blocks is very similar to the color of some part of your surface mesh. Maybe they are in the same part. Did you create a material point like "FLUID" ? If not, you have to. Otherwise you will get problems later. Normally blocks are assigned to the part of the material point automatically.
