embedded meshing
can any one tell me how to perform embedded meshing on 2D geometry? Its like the way that the mesh size increase twice times bigger than previous one. The project is a nozzle inject fuel in to a chamber. i need the mesh size smaller at nozzle.

are you talking about mesh refinment?

yes, refinement, i need the mesh better at nozzle but the size next to previous one have a larger size (twice times bigger)

Your mesh is hexa, If yes then the procedure is :

Blocking > pre mesh parameters > Refinement

Thanks for your reply but could you please tell me how two operate in refinement as i am totally new in icem. What is the meaning of level here? and does it mean i should select block by block to set meshing dimension? what if i have one big block and i want to have different meshing size in this single block? I really couldnot find a video relevent to meshing with different sizes.

If you want the mesh refinement in specific region, you should isolate it by splitting block. Once you get the required block where you want to use the refinement function follow the images given below. You must keep in mind that Fluent allows 1: 2 refinement and CFX requires 1:3 (let me re-check requirements of each code). You can also resolve refinements in ICEM to avoid problems.
