Can someone help me

Im new here so im sorry if I did something wrong, and about my question I hope there is some little thing I did wrong and can change it easy.

I'm creating a mesh which ill use in fluentbut at the entrance and exits my mesh goes wild and i dont know how to fix it, can someone pls help me.

Im using ogrid and when i use my mesh is good in all places except entrance/exit.
skewnees is awful and it looks like this

mb this should be moved to ANSYS Meshing & Geometry

it must a problem of associations, share project via dropbox, i have some free time...

Far July 18, 2013 11:54

Go to blocking > Association > update association and select first three options and apply

Hi Far and ty guys for helping me.

this is what i have...and pictures you see are what i get after using ogrid.
I need agood mesh so i can use it in fluent, i need to learn how to do it.
All i know i've learned online so I'm not very good...tyvm

If this can help someone, this one of my version after using ogrid, this mesh is also bad, around intersection of pipes...pls help with this :/

can you modify geometry at intersection zone?

EugenZ July 18, 2013 15:19

I cant, I did all my geometry with CATIA

This is good enough ?

EugenZ July 18, 2013 15:29

Yeah, this looks great, can you explain me how did you do it. I'm sorry if im too demanding, i really want to learn how to do it

Far July 18, 2013 15:32

I simply did not associate edges to those intersection curves. And Also moved vertices little bit.

EugenZ July 18, 2013 15:35

Well, you've helped me alot, hopefully this will be good enough mesh for me do some calculations in fluent.

THANK YOU AGAIN

try this ...https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...6/preogrid.zip

EugenZ July 18, 2013 15:46

Diamond, can you explain me how did you do that, yours is also awesome, how? :D
And thank you very much

there is nothing better than a video to explain this. but i can't install a mkv codec due to privileges. i will try to do that from home. meanwhile i did the necessary split. and merge some vertex together, and o-grid were the last... look at the tutorial "3d pipe junction" it is same blocking strategy, you can start from that one to understand

Far July 18, 2013 16:36

Ali why do you think that "3d pipe junction" uses the same approach? I dont see similar blocking approach in that tut!!!!

diamondx July 18, 2013 16:37

that geometry looks like half of the one we have here, no ? try to mirror it

Far July 18, 2013 16:41

No. I have more feeling of "pipe blade tutorial"

Hey did you like the idea of 3d laser scanner ? ;)

You couldn't be more helpful than that... hehehe

Far July 18, 2013 16:50

Your idea is awesome. How did you get it?
