Part Description and Boundary Condition Problem

Hey guys,

I am a rookie user of ICEM CFD. I am trying to mesh 2D cylinder with Cgrid.

This is my mesh file:

http://s22.postimg.org/7wtwfu5wt/cgrid2.jpg

I named left side as "in" and right side as "out"; top side as "sym1" and down as "sym2" and finally named cylinder as "cylinderwall".

When I import it to fluent, it doesn't recognize "in" and "sym1". I couldn't find the problem.

Hope you can give me some advices. If it is needed, I can upload my Icem CFD file too.

Hey Far,

Thank you for your reply. I did what you said and it worked.

Can you give me any advice for a better mesh that fits better to 2d cylinder?

Results are good, but I am not sure whether cgrid is the best option for 2d cylinder. I know that sphere boundary is a better option but I couldn't apply it to cylinder.

I think topology is good. You can refine mesh in wake region if needed.
