Geometry

Are the Files available?
You want to have a hexa blocking?

Regards,
Jan

hi jan,
yeah of course, full hexa mesh
the model is here

thanks very much for your attention

I´m not very sure... but I think Diamondx did something similar with an injector. But only 1/4 of the cylinder.

Peyman_m August 1, 2013 15:16

the fluid is flow over the tubes in T junction

Observe this blocking , start with one o-grid, an do the necessary slipts where you see them, and finale you will take care of the big pig in the middle...
Good luck and get back to us if you could not succeed

PS: I love this bruce lee image, I laughed very hard when i first discoverd it. The purpose in posting it is not to say that i'm strong like him, it is just for fun, this is where i got it from:

i like to use since then

thanks diamondx, ok, I will try,

Peyman_m August 5, 2013 09:31

Hi diamondx
could you explain more? How can i empty the small tubes? because after meshing, the small tubes will be filled.
my block scheme is similar to yours, but the mesh is bad.

thanks in advance

If you dont need mesh inside tube just delete blocks.

Peyman_m August 5, 2013 10:57

okay, thank you far

Peyman_m August 5, 2013 11:05

Hi, Is it correct?

http://www.8pic.ir/images/60574920994608555806.jpg

diamondx August 5, 2013 11:39

it's correct just play with the edge now, "spline"... i am a bit busy here, i will came back to it later on this day, sorry about that

Far August 5, 2013 12:01

Create o-grid around these small pipes.

Peyman_m August 5, 2013 15:30

okay far, i will try
thanks diamondx, what do you mean about "play with the edge"?
around of the tubes??

Peyman_m August 6, 2013 10:26

If we have further tubes in cylinder (like this picture), Can i mesh the model with this blocking scheme (O-grid block)?
I would be grateful if you can answer this question.

By playing with edge i meant, blocking -» edit edge -» split edge using spline

Now for you second geometry, that is two much... I can't really answer your question. You need to find a pattern for that , how did you create that pattern at the first place ?

Peyman_m August 6, 2013 15:27

in fact this model is the inlet part of a shell and tube heat exchanger with triangular tube arrangement (Between tubesheet and first baffle).

Peyman_m August 8, 2013 08:01

Hi,
Is it possible to implement this scheme for the model?
thanks.
