Hello Everyone,

I am simulating air impact through holes on outer cylinder surface. Geometry consists of two cylinders. small cylinder inside a large one. the inside cylinder consists of several holes on its surface. to mesh this volume i used sizing functions and achieved good mesh at concern areas(especially holes). Now, for the outer one, the main objective is to get fine mesh on left part of the geometry and coarser there after (please refer images).i am using the straight line at the center as source(in size function options) which gives me somewhat fine mesh but not coarse mesh in rest part, as expected. but without SF its not possible to achieve fine mesh in concern areas.
-Is it possible to use size functions and edge mesh simultaneously. because for my trial it doesnt work!!

i will be very thankful for any suggestions or strategy shared.

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Bharat

if you split your geometry then there is no problem

Thank you max for comments. they were much helpful.
But, i was wondering if i could use both size functions and edge mesh option simultaneously. can they save my splitting work?
