Dear all,
I am going to model two pipes as you can see.A block (pipe wall) is made as a part for making pipe wall. there is some bad meshes on pipe wall. How can I improve the mesh quality in this part.I have attached the Icem document too.
Thanks

Just have a look at the attaches if you like.

Block strategy I followed is:
- initial block for external pipe
- ogrid on its 2 faces for the outer skin of the inner pipe
- ogrid on its 2 faces for the inner skin of the inner pipe
- split on vertical and horizontal edges of the blocks
- ogrid on each of the 4 faces of the inner block (on both sides)

..but why you use angle as criteria of the quality of the mesh?

Dear Crostolo,
Thank you for your reply. There is an error for my mesh file that non-positive volumes exits.Sothat I used angle as criteria.Do you have any suggestion for improving mshes in inner pipe wall considering my blocking strategy ?

You appear to have constrained the shape of the inner block to a circle...

If you do not need to constrain that inner block... Then change the edge projection to surface so that it will stay square...

If you do need that circle, then put an OGrid inside that block so that there is a square further in...

Dear Crostolo,
Thank you so much.I found a point.Bad quality of mesh will appear after creating a part of the marked block (the associated block to inner pipe skin).I tried it on your file too.Quality of mesh is good at first and will export correctly. But I need to define the skin pipe as wall boundary condition.Therefor I created a part from the associated block to pipe skin. After that fluent will show same error.(non-positive volumes exits).do you have any suggestion for this problem?
