Dear All,

I would like to generate the geometry (.tin) and mesh generation (.msh) automatically using Ansys ICEM for CFD simulations using Ansys-CFX by writing any code. I mean to say that, If user gave the dimensions of the geometry, then code should generate .tin and .msh file for simulations.

Can any one help in this?

Thanks and Regards,
Ravikiran

You can record the commands using reply script

Before you start creating the geometry, go to File > Replay Scripts > Replay Control

have a look on this link to understand how the scripting is done

Are you going to do optimization? If that is the case, you can use matlab or any other programming language. If you are going to do in Matlab, you should write a function in matlab which calls the ICEM CFD and execute the replay script.

Dear Venkatesh,

Thank you for your reply. I have got the methodology of programming in ICEM. Now I am writing script for auto-mesh generation and CFD simulation.

I am writing in fortran code.

Thanks and Regards,
Ravikiran
