is your airfoil 2d or 3d?

did you try to create edge from vertices?
http://aerojet.engr.ucdavis.edu/gamb...e_create_nurbs Else you can create an edge with 2 vertices and so on..

You can always import CAD models in gambit. And yes it is possible with the journal file. But then you have to either write the journal file manually or make a program that created the journal file.

As vasava mentionned, you could handle it with journal, but it will ask lots of time.
(once you created your vertices, then you need to get edges, and surface) I would create the 2d shape with cad package, and then import it in Gambit.

I suggest that first you try creating something simple with journal file. Make sure it works and also make sure you understand how the journal files work. Once you are confident then you can gradually change gears.
I also suggest you go through some gambit tutorials. Especially the ones that includes even the smallest step like creating edges and vertices. While doing so notice the message window. That's the way I learnt to write journal files. All the best!! |
