i'm having the same issue in 2D. Where there is no BOI option in the dropdown list inside the "face sizing" section.

May i know how you solve it?
or anyone else can help me regarding this?

edit: solution found.

As nobody edited the solution here it is:

The answer is yes you can use a body of influence either in 2D or 3D.

As called it is a body of influence and not a face of influence.

Then you have first to select the body you on which you want to apply a sizing. And then you select the body of influence.

The above "solution" does not work. Using actual bodies always worked fine for me.

Now I am doing an axisymmetric 2D simulation --> I don't have any bodies and only faces.

"Use Adaptive Sizing" is already set to "No", as is proposed by the Ansys Meshing Guide.

Any other ideas how to solve this (or at least the info if it is possible at all).

Thanks!

Edit: You actually have to select "Body (Ctrl+B)" and not "Face (Ctrl+F)" in Ansys Meshing and then it works. The 2D Face is regarded as a Body by Ansys Meshing...
