Once a 3D geometry is drawn, can we slice only the edges? Let's say I have a cube, I would like to slice it in half, but I don't want to obtain two parts (volumes), I just want to slice the edges in half, in order to obtain construction points on the parallel edges.

I know about Split Edges, it's not a fast way to work, split locations have to be clicked one by one, then adjust split coordinates... It's very cumbersome if, e.g., there is hundreds of edges that you want to split at a given height.

It would be nice if we could create a 'Split Edges Plane' that would split all the edges that it crosses.

Hello,

is there any possibility to split edges as described above?

Hi floriank,

Try and use Concept>Split Edges and under "Definition" choose "By Split Location" and select and multiple edges which you want to split.
You can change Fraction as well if you need for these edges.

Hope it helps

Cheers
