Hi everybody,
I am working with WorkBench 14.5. I am trying to do a very simple parametric analysis on a 3D CFD case with Fluent (a rectangle shaped duct with a cylinder on top of it). In DesignModeler, I define 3 geometric parameters (the duct width, the cylinder diameter and the cylinder offset). Then, in ICEM CFD, I block the geometry, specify meshing sizes and generate the hexa mesh. I specify the solver, the BC and update the project before closing ICEM. Then, I run the case with Fluent and close it. Everything works fine.
Then, I define some Design Points, and click on Update All Design Points. The geometry in DesignModeler is updated. But each time, the problem occurs in ICEM, because the blocking does not follow the changes of the geometry (as if the points, edges, etc. were not associated with the geometry). As a result, the mesh is wrong, and Fluent is not able to perform the computation.
Am I missing something? Does anyone face this kind of problem?
Thank you very much!
Jérémie

Update :

You can update all parameters including mesh settings for Hexa expect the geometry change. As per my experience you have to write the script in ICEM CFD (Workbench script for ICEM CFD). And that replay file should be in the same folder in which you have other icem files...
