Structured mesh for a combustor - dilution holes issue
I am trying to generate a mesh for a combustor using ICEM; I want to use an hybrid approach to create an unstructured mesh for the complex geometry at the top of the combustor (with the swirlers, fuel nozzle, igniter, etc) and a structured hexa mesh for the remaining part (basically constituted by two concentric tubes: the fairing and the liner).
My problem is that the structured domain is not as simple as I thought; in fact there are dilution holes (distributed circumferentially) on the liner and pins between the liner and the fairing.
I've been able to generate the blocking for the two concentric tubes but now I have no idea on how to add the dilution holes and the pins; any suggestion?
Unfortunately I can't share my geometry due to confidentiality issues, but I am attaching a sketch of it.
