MichiMuffin is on a distinguished road
Hello!

I have some troubles using ICEM.
I want to investigate the flow in a compressor cascade.
For the first calculations i used a grid, as shown in the attached png.file.

problem.jpg

Since its an symmetric geometry i just modeled half of the geometry and used a symmetry BC in fluent.

For comparioson i want to do the calculations for the full model. Therefore loaded my mesh into ICEm and used:

EDIT MESH -> Transform Mesh -> Mirror Mesh

copy
Merge nodes
Delete duplicate elements
Reflection : Plane Axis = Z
Point of Reflection: Origin

The Mesh is duplicated correctly, but the peridoc conditions are not mirrored. When i have a look at:
Mesh -> Periodicity
it can be seen, that the mirrored part has no periodic elements.

Has anyone an advice what to do?

many thanks in advance
