Ansys geometry meshing, perforated plate, Anish K. John

Dear all,

We have a meshing problem while using Ansys Workbench 14.
The geometry is 50 mm diameter plate having thickness of 0.3 mm. Inside the plate, there are 350 perforations of diameter 1mm arranged in rectangular pattern. The geometry is made in Autocad Inventor and imported as x_t file.
Another annular ring of outer diameter 50mm and inner diameter 46 mm is also made.

It is then stacked together alternately with 10 plates and 9 annular rings.

Course meshing is done. But the result obtained is having 0.99 skewness value and on solving, it diverges.

So we changed into very fine meshing with node size or ~3500000, then the skewnesss value reduces to 0.94 but orthogonality value is in 10^-2 value.

How can we reduce the skewness and orthogonality value so that a convergence happens during the result?

Thanx in advance!
