2D Import from Solidworks

All,

This may have been covered in a previous post but I have spent the last hour searching with no prevail.
I am trying to import a solidworks part into Ansys Mesh to perform a 2D simulation.
Currently the solidworks part is a 3D solid. What format does the solidworks part need to be for Workbench to accept it as a 2D mesh?

Any information would be very useful.

Thanks
Kieran

For anyone interested, I worked it out.

Use planar surface in solidworks to generate a your shape.
All surfaces must be in the X-Y plane.

A massive thanks for your answer. It's very cool that you found answer on your question and posted it here. Some users don't want to share their results of searching.
