Hi all,
I am facing problems when importing my ICEM mesh to CFX. (14.0) In ICEM I wanted to mesh a third of a tube to take advantage of its symmetry. So I used "Global Mesh Parameters -> Set Up Periodicity" and chose the values for "Base", "Axis 0 0 1" and "Angle 120". Computing Mesh causes no problems also regarding the Boundary Layers I added. As usual I exported the mesh as *.cfx5 and imported it in CFX. (See Screenshot below) As you can see the Prism Layer is not connected anymore to the Fluid Region. Also a new Region was "randomly" created in CFX-Pre named "CARTFACES".
The Symmetry Planes were reduced to the part of the Boundary Layer. I think I miss some steps in ICEM before writing the *.cfx5 file. Could someone please give me a hint? Thanks in advace, Julien |
