element shape functions

Hello guys.

I wonder if it is possible to set element shape functions in Ansys Meshing. In a default setup it produces meshes with first order element shape functions, so tetras have 4 nodes, hexas 8 nodes, etc. Can one set this to second order?

Does the Element Midside Node option in Meshing deal with that? The options are program controlled, dropped or kept. Check out the Meshing User Guide > Global Mesh Controls > Advanced Group > Element Midside Nodes.

Yep, that's it. Thanks.

Do you know maybe if it's possible to activate this option with "assembly meshing"? After activating assembly meshing, drop-down menu of "advanced" simply disappears.
