I really need help in creating structured mesh for a hypersonic aircraft model.
I've been trying to make correct associations, however it seems to fail as there's "negative volume" error in CFX. The model and can be seen in picture 1. A friend of mine did help me to create a working mesh for once after messing up with ICEM but when he tried to recreate the mesh, he also failed. The working mesh is in picture 2 (although the quality is not that good at the nose and at the back). Unfortunately we found there's no way to retrace what he did. Can someone help me to show how the association should be done ? Thanks in advance. P.S. I'm really a n00b in structured meshing |

UPDATE :
I tried to merge vertices around the aircraft to match its geometry. Then, the association become pretty easy. The premesh seems to be good, however, when I imported the mesh into CFX, I get this error : Unable to import mesh: Invalid local face number (0) for element 6301 in 2D region SURF. Did I do something wrong ? Or ICEM does not allow merging vertices ? |
