[ICEM] Blocking in ICEM

Hi!

I'm a beginner in CFD, and am using ICEM for hexa meshing. I've attached my geometry in 2D and 3D. I have problem with blocking my 3D, since there are so many curves and I find it difficult to associate edges to all these curves. I wonder if I can block the 2D model instead and then revolve the block and continue with meshing. Does that make any sense?
I appreciate any sort of help.

This is the normal way of doing it, go for it ...

Is the revolve feature similar to extruding blocks along one of the coordinate directions and then setting pre-mesh parameters along the extruded length?

Is it possible to create a 3D part from an initially 2D sketch by using revolution in ICEM CFD?

Yes , in create a block you have the option "2d -> 3D", there you can extrude along a direction or revole; you will then get your 2d blocking
