Hey,

I´ve got a problem with generate a surface in ICEM. I want to create a surface including 4 curves (pic.1). The surface is "ok" (pic.2). But when i´m looking closely (pic.3), you can see that there is an additional curve and the surface isn´t referenced on the curve, which was choosen.

Can anybody explaine whta was happend?

thx Simon

Hi Simon,

You can try to set up a better tolerance number for you curve. Have you tried to see the curve with "show full" option?

Thanks,

but I think "show full" is only a viewing option and no tolerance option?

Do you have geometry file? Can you share it?

Try this by reducing model tolerances under general -> model.

You are right, but the option "show full" displays the surface triangulation as it actually is. The other options show simplifications of your model.

Hello,

i´ve got a problem with the geometry tool in ICEM. I want to close a gap between surfaces on an edge. I ´ve got a very thin first layer and when there is a gap, there will be a wrong mesh. I tried the tool to close the gaps, but I think the tolerance is to high.

How can I adjust the merge tolerance?

Thx
