[ANSYS Meshing] Error in Matching Control!

Hi friends!

I'm trying to analyse a centrifugal compressor in ANSYS Fluent 14.5
so I'm using "match control" in ANSYS meshing for generating periodicity mesh!
but when I'm updating generated meshing ANSYS says this error:

"The mesher cannot find matching topology for following topology.please verify that the topology is the same shape and size. also verify the position and orientation of any associated coordinate systems."

I checked the geometry and the faces are same for both sides and the edges and surfaces area are equal!

Can anyone help me?

it means the face you've selected it's not completely equal,
also sometimes ansys makes this error because the reference frame you've chosen for the matching control isn't valid

I too had a similar problem. Finally, I got the solution to this.

Actually, I had to import a turbine blade (iges) and subtract it from a domain created in Ansys DM. When I first imported the geometry and then made the domain in DM, the Mesh module showed the same error.

I think importing the geometry into DM may change the coordinate system at times creating slight error, which I confirmed by creating a new coordinate system (using Type:From Coordinates and selecting a vertex which had to be on axis - but this was off-center which created the problem).

Solution:
First Creating the domain/ dummy sketch in DM and then importing external geometry resolves the problem.
